Here’s a recent interview I did with Jay-R Patron of Greater Good Radio out of Hawaii. From how I ended up living in the Philippines, to the ups and downs of daily life in this crazy and never dull country, to working as a journalist in one of the world’s notoriously dangerous spots, Jay-R managed to coax some interesting answers from me.

Travelling alone to a remote and forgotten Philippine province, known mostly as the home of the “manananggal”– a mythological man eating monster, half woman, half beast–is an entirely different matter. At once fearful and fascinated, this intrepid American traveler makes some surprising discoveries in this little known part of the Philippines.

I was lucky enough to be ringside doing the tv commentary for the Brian Viloria-Carlos Tamara world title fight here in Manila Jan.23rd and I've found some youtube video of the incredible last two rounds. Mika Immonen's awesome run to the World 10-Ball Championship in Manila is captured in my feature article in the Jan, 2010 issue of Billiards Digest magazine.
