GERMAN POOL LEGEND RALF SOUQUET COMING TO ANGELES CITY!
German pool legend, Ralf Souquet, the current WPA World Number one, and one of the greatest pool players of all time, will be making his first visit to Angeles City, Wednesday, November 18th. Ralf will be playing any all challengers at the Mirrors bar, inside the Clarkton Hotel.
Souquet boasts one of the most impressive resumes ever built up on the pool table. He’s the current World 8-ball champion, a former World 9 ball Champion, former US Open champion, fiver time winner of the World Pool Masters, 14 time member of the Mosconi Cup team, and winner of literally dozens upon dozens of some of the biggest titles in the sport. Simply put, Souquet is a living legend in the sport of pool.
Souquet is in the Philippines to compete in the 2nd Annual World 10-ball Championship, which takes place November 25-30, at the World Trade Center, Pasay City, Metro Manila. He’s sure to enjoy his first visit to the city of Angels as the Clarkton Hotel is one of Angeles’s Cities nicest hotels. The hotel has been around since back in the days of the US Military. Over the years it’s been upgraded, modernized and expanded and, despite the proliferation of new hotels, the Clarkton remains one of the more popular hotels in town.
Mirrors bar just off the lobby has long been known for it’s plethora of friendly girls, and also as a nice place to play pool as the table is one of the better ones around and the playing area is quite spacious. The legendary Efren “Bata” Reyes, who hails from Angeles, has played at Mirrors on many occasions. So has Francisco “Django” Bustamante. They were memorable nights indeed.
Now it’s Souquet’s turn to savor the flavor that is Angeles City hospitality. They love their pool in Angeles City. This wild east town is one of the pool capitals of the world. Ralf better be ready to pose for a few photos and sign a few autographs. And the Clarkton is a German owned hotel, so having the great Ralf Souquet around will surely bring out the German community in force on Wednesday night, along with hundreds of other fans.
So make sure to get down to the Clarkton on Wednesday night. You can plunk down a few hundred pesos and say you played pool against one of the greats of all time; Ralf Souquet.
The action starts at 7pm. See you there.

Thanks Max. We missed you at this year’s championship. The tournament needs all the color it can get and you always provide plenty of color. Try to come over for the Philippine Open in April. That will be a great tournament. And by the way…to anyone reading this…check out maxeberle.com. Not only is Max a phenomenal pool player, he’s one hell of an artist. Check it out!
